実は戦後、GHQ（連合国軍最高司令官総司令部）は日本国内で7000点以上の書籍を焚書処分しています。焼かれた本の中に、アメリカ人ジャーナリスト・ブレーク・クラークが著した『真珠湾』という一冊がありました。

なぜアメリカ人が書いた本が、GHQによって焼かれなければならなかったのか。
その答えは、この本の巻末に収録されていた「ロバーツ委員会報告書」にあります。これはルーズヴェルト大統領自身が設置した公式調査委員会の報告書です。そこに書かれていた結論は、衝撃的なものでした。

歴史は、勝者によって書かれます。でも、証拠は消しきれない。

“Japan launched a cowardly surprise attack,” “Remember Pearl Harbor”—this story is still told around the world, and the Japanese themselves have accepted it as “historical fact.”

But wait a moment.

Have you ever truly verified that “common sense” with your own mind?

In fact, after the war, GHQ (General Headquarters of the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers) burned more than 7,000 books in Japan. Among the books that were burned was a book titled “Pearl Harbor,” written by American journalist Blake Clark.

Why did a book written by an American have to be burned by GHQ?

The answer lies in the “Roberts Commission Report,” which was included at the end of the book. This was the report of an official investigative committee established by President Roosevelt himself. The conclusion written there was shocking.

History is written by the victors. But the evidence cannot be completely erased.
